Regular Season Round 22: Nancy - Paris 90-64
Date: March 15, 2019
There was no surprise when 11th ranked Paris (9-12) was outleveled on the road by third ranked Sluc Nancy (16-6) 90-64. It was a great shooting night for Sluc Nancy especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. American-Venezuelan point guard John Cox (195-81, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 17 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American-Cuban swingman Yunio Barrueta (193-93, college: Barry, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side center Garry Florimont (202-87) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Trinidad and Tobago-Australian point guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona) scored 6 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sluc Nancy maintains third position with 16-6 record behind leader Orleans. Newly promoted Paris keeps the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Sluc Nancy will play against league's second-placed Chorale de Roanne on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Paris will play against Poitiers (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
