Regular Season Round 25: Quintanar - Pozuelo 79-66

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Quintanar (13-11) beat at home 10th ranked Pozuelo (9-14) 79-66 on Saturday. Pozuelo was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Khion Sankey (196-92, college: Lipscomb) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Sudanese point guard Samy Mohamed (183-93, college: UPEI) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Quintanar players scored in double figures. Guard Borja Lopez (187-93) answered with 18 points and power forward Daniel Busto (203-92, college: Ohlone CC) added 14 points in the effort for Pozuelo. Pozuelo's coach Mariano Arasa tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Quintanar moved-up to sixth place in Group B. Newly promoted Pozuelo dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Quintanar will face bottom-ranked Estudio (#10) in Madrid in the next round. Pozuelo will play at home against Estudiantes B and hope to win that game.
