Regular Season Round 28: AZS AGH KR - Biofarm PZN 83-73

We should mention about the upset which took place in Krakow, where higher ranked Biofarm PZN (14-14) lost to fifteenth ranked AZS AGH KR (9-19) in a road game 73-83 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Biofarm PZN. AZS AGH KR forced 21 Biofarm PZN turnovers. Strangely Biofarm PZN outrebounded AZS AGH KR 43-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Bartosz Czerwonka (189-89) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 rebounds and Konrad Mamcarczyk (191-94) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Mikolaj Kurpisz (202-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and forward Mateusz Brek (192-94) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five AZS AGH KR and four Biofarm PZN players scored in double figures. Biofarm PZN's coach Pawel Blechacz rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted AZS AGH KR maintains fifteenth position with 9-19 record. Loser Biofarm PZN keeps the ninth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Pogon Prudnik. AZS AGH KR will meet higher ranked Kotwica (#11) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Biofarm PZN will play against Gornik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
