Rather expected game when 7th ranked Kastoria (11-11) was smashed by fourth ranked Diagoras D. (13-8) in Athens 86-65 on Saturday. Diagoras D. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Kastoria helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of center Kostas Macheras (205-84) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Spyridon Motsenigos (194-92) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Andreas Petropoulos (194-96) replied with 18 points and forward Alexandros Raptis (200-81) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kastoria. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
