Regular Season Round 46: Nagoya DD - Hitachi SR 73-75

Important game to mention about took place in Nagoya. Fourth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (21-25) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Diamond Dolphins (24-22) 75-73 on Saturday evening. American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Leo Vendrame (183-93) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St.) responded with 27 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import center Hilton Armstrong (210-84, college: Connecticut) scored 8 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Hitachi Sunrockers maintains fourth position with 21-25 record. Diamond Dolphins at the other side keep the third place with 22 games lost. They share the position with SeaHorses. Hitachi Sunrockers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Diamond Dolphins will play again at home against Hitachi Sunrockers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
