Regular Season Round 28: GKS Tychy - STK Czarni 102-103

Another exciting game where sixth ranked STK Czarni (16-12) edged by one point 5th ranked GKS Tychy (15-13) 103-102. STK Czarni shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Damian Cechniak (208-93) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Point guard Wojciech Jakubiak (188-96) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Power forward Maciej Maj (200-88) replied with 25 points and 7 rebounds and Michal Jankowski (191-87) added 26 points in the effort for GKS Tychy. Five STK Czarni and four GKS Tychy players scored in double figures. STK Czarni have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with WKK Wroclaw. GKS Tychy at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Gornik Walbrzych and Polonia Leszno. STK Czarni will play against bottom-ranked SKK Siedlce (#16) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. GKS Tychy will play against Enea Astoria (#3) in Bydgoszcz and hopes to get back on the winning track.
