Regular Season Round 25: Estudiantes B - Zentro Basket 81-61

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Zentro Basket (9-16) was outleveled by fifth ranked Estudiantes B (14-9) in Madrid 81-61 on Saturday. Estudiantes B forced 20 Zentro Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 47-28 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for forward Diego Alderete (202-0) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 20 rebounds. Lithuanian guard Dovydas Giedraitis (193-0) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Estudiantes B players scored in double figures. Senegalese center Gana Ndiaye (208-88) answered with 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Hector Oceja (200-95) added 8 points in the effort for Zentro Basket. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Estudiantes B have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain fifth place in Group B with 14-9 record. Newly promoted Zentro Basket dropped to the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Estudiantes B will face Pozuelo (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Zentro Basket will play against Rivas and hope to win that game.
