U19 League top team - Rocks (16-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Lahti (3-14) in Helsinki 91-63. The game without a history. Rocks led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Rocks outrebounded Lahti 54-31 including a 22-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Naturalized German forward Daniel Lindner (200-0) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and forward Alvar Michelsen (197-0) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four Rocks players scored in double figures. Center Luukas Vaara (204-1) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and forward Eemi Luukkonen (193-2) scored 6 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rocks have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-1 record. Loser Lahti keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Rocks will face Pyrinto (#5) in Tampere in the next round. Lahti will play at home against Honka (#3) and hope to win that game.
