Very predictable result in Rijeka where fifth ranked KK Dubrovnik (11-6) smashed bottom-ranked Kvarner (5-14) 116-84 on Saturday. The game without a history. KK Dubrovnik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. KK Dubrovnik shot 62.0 percent from the field. KK Dubrovnik looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kvarner's players. Forward Jure Boban (201-94) fired 32 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Ivan Vodopija (202-93) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Five KK Dubrovnik players scored in double figures. Swingman Matija Bilalovic (200-97) produced 20 points and guard Luka Cosic (187-0) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Kvarner's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for KK Dubrovnik. KK Dubrovnik moved-up to fourth place. Kvarner lost their eleventh game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. KK Dubrovnik will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kvarner will play against Pula 1981 (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
