Second-ranked Levice (20-9) made lots of trouble for first ranked Inter Bratislava (24-4) on Saturday. Inter Bratislava managed to secure only two-point victory 84-82. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Levice. Inter Bratislava looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard James Kinney (187-90, college: San Jose St.) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 assists. The other American import forward Lee Skinner (198-92, college: Wofford) chipped in 19 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Serbian forward Nikola Gacesa (206-87, college: TCU) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and Bosnian-Swedish guard Dino Pita (195-88, agency: 011 Sports) added 22 points respectively for the guests. Inter Bratislava have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-4 record. Defending champion Levice keeps the second place with nine games lost. Inter Bratislava are looking forward to face Iskra Svit (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Levice will play against Prievidza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
