Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Pula 1981 (7-12) was defeated at home by second ranked Dubrava (13-5) 75-71 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Pula 1981 won third quarter 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Dubrava won last quarter 16-13. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Filip Simovic (-95) fired 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Ivan-Tvrtko Majic (194-98) chipped in 18 points. Dubrava's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Toni Jelenkovic (180-97) produced 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Sandro Kordic added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the third consecutive win for Dubrava. Newly promoted Dubrava maintains second place with 13-5 record having just three points less than leader Sonik Puntamika. Pula 1981 lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Djakovo and Zaprude. Dubrava will meet at home Djakovo (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pula 1981 will play against Kvarner and hope to secure a win.
