There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Olginate (11-14) edged at home higher ranked San Vendemiano (13-12) 78-77 on Sunday. Olginate made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. San Vendemiano was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Edoardo Caversazio (200-96) stepped up and scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Lorenzo Bartoli (195-94) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws). At the losing side Marco Mossi (199-88) responded with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and point guard Marco Perin (185-93) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Olginate. They moved-up to eleventh place in B, which they share with Ozzano. San Vendemiano lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. Olginate will face Crema (#14) on the road in the next round.
