A very close game took place in Tokyo between Tokyo Z and Orange Vikings. Fifth ranked Tokyo Z (17-32) got a very close home victory over 4th placed Orange Vikings (18-31). Tokyo Z managed to escape with a 1-point win 76-75 on Sunday evening. Australian power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) nailed a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall) accounted for 11 points, 19 rebounds and 4 blocks. American power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) came up with 26 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-90, college: S.Carolina, agency: SDJ Sports) added 13 points and 16 rebounds respectively for Orange Vikings in the defeat. Four Orange Vikings players scored in double figures. Tokyo Z maintains fifth place with 17-32 record. Orange Vikings lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 31 games lost. They share it with Yamagata. Tokyo Z's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo HT.
