There was an upset when higher ranked Ozzano (11-14) was defeated on the road by sixteenth ranked Desio (4-21) 86-81 on Sunday. Naturalized Serbian David Paunovic (198-95) stepped up and scored 28 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and point guard Andrea Tommei (180-91) chipped in 23 points. At the losing side center Dimitri Klyuchnyk (208-1) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Luigi Dordei (202-81) scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Desio maintains sixteenth place in B with 4-21 record. Newly promoted Ozzano dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Desio will face higher ranked Tessilform Bernareggio (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
