Regular Season Round 19: Djakovo - Agrodalm 81-82

Eighth-ranked Djakovo (7-12) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Agrodalm (12-7) on Sunday. The visitors from Zagreb managed to secure only one-point victory 82-81. However their fans expected much easier game. Djakovo trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 28-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 81-82 at the end of the game. It was a great evening for point guard Dorian Ribaric (180-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Nereo Grzinic (186-95) helped adding 18 points. Agrodalm's coach Josko Garma used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side forward Matej Karlovic (200-89) responded with 30 points and 7 rebounds and forward Matej Ceskic (199-92) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Djakovo players scored in double figures. Agrodalm moved-up to third place. Djakovo lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Pula 1981 and Zaprude. Agrodalm will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Djakovo will play on the road against the league's second-placed Dubrava (#2) in Zagreb and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
