Very expected game when 15th ranked Lugo (6-19) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Faenza (17-8) 92-73 on Monday. Faenza outrebounded Lugo 46-30 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Lugo's players. Forward Marco Petrucci (193-92) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and power forward Giorgio Sgobba (202-92, agency: Players Group) chipped in 22 points and 11 rebounds. Five Faenza players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Matteo Seravalli (193-91) responded with 21 points and 4 assists and point guard Antonio Brighi (190-96) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Faenza moved-up to third place in B, which they share with Padova. Loser Lugo keeps the fifteenth position with 19 games lost. Faenza will face Ozzano (#12) in Ozzano dell Emilia in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
