Very significant was 76ers' (#2, 46-25) victory against 3rd placed Hornets (31-39) 118-114. 76ers players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Hornets' players. It was an exceptional evening for guard JJ Redick (193-84, college: Duke) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Australian forward Ben Simmons (208-96, college: LSU) accounted for 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Jeremy Lamb (196-92, college: Connecticut) came up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Kemba Walker (185-90, college: Connecticut) added 21 points and 4 assists respectively for Hornets in the defeat. Five 76ers and four Hornets players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. 76ers (46-25) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place behind leader Toronto R.
