Regular Season Round 24: Wisla Krakow - MKK Siedlce 90-60

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Wisla Krakow (14-8) smashed at home 10th ranked MKK Siedlce (5-17) 90-60 on Tuesday. Wisla Krakow dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to MKK Siedlce's 30. They outrebounded MKK Siedlce 54-30 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Wisla Krakow looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Mercedes Russell (198-95, college: Tennessee) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. American-Lithuanian forward Sofija Aleksandravicius (192-91, college: Davidson, agency: LBM Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Coach Wojciech Eliasz-Radzikowski's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Ukrainian forward Oksana Mollova (188-88) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and Latvian guard Laura Ikstena (176-90, college: Northwest JC) added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists respectively. Five Wisla Krakow and four MKK Siedlce players scored in double figures. Wisla Krakow maintains sixth position with 14-8 record. MKK Siedlce lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 17 games lost. Wisla Krakow will face league's second-placed Katarzynki in Torun in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
