Regular Season Round 27: Coruna - Granada 73-80

Date: March 19, 2019
Everything went according to plan in Coruna where sixth ranked CB Granada (17-10) beat 13th ranked Leyma Basquet (10-17) 80-73 on Tuesday. It was a great shooting night for CB Granada especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for the former international center Guillem Rubio (202-82) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Forward Joan Pardina (201-93, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 13 points and 10 rebounds. Five CB Granada players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Bosnian Mirza Bulic (207-92) with 19 points and 8 rebounds and forward Sergi Pino (197-87, agency: Interperformances) scored 11 points. Leyma Basquet's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. CB Granada moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ourense. Loser Leyma Basquet keeps the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. CB Granada will face Carramimbre (#10) in Valladolid in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Leyma Basquet will play on the road against Real Canoe in Madrid and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
