We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked RCOP Tsmoki (6-20) beat on the road 7th ranked Brest (9-17) 83-75 on Wednesday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 32-21. But Brest won second period 22-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. RCOP Tsmoki forced 23 Brest turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a very good performance for forward Arseni Tugarinov (195-2) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Raman Gest (197-1) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Four RCOP Tsmoki players scored in double figures. Power forward Kirill Vinokurov (207-99) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and forward Sergey Zarovskiy (196-88) added 14 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Brest. RCOP Tsmoki maintains eighth place with 6-20 record. Brest lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 17 games lost. RCOP Tsmoki's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Impuls BGUIR.
