Regular Season Round 23: Rouen - Orleans 78-74

There was a change at the ProB leadership position after last games. Round 23 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Entente Orleans 45 (17-6). They were defeated by sixth ranked SPO Rouen (15-8) 78-74 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Entente Orleans 45. SPO Rouen made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Entente Orleans 45 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Entente Orleans 45 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American-Nigerian forward Christian Nwogbo (190-91, college: Cedarville, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Jessie Begarin (205-88, agency: Court Side) helped adding 16 points and 4 assists. American swingman Brandon Spearman (191-91, college: Hawaii) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. SPO Rouen moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Saint-Chamond. Entente Orleans 45 at the other side dropped to the second position with six games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Roanne. Entente Orleans 45 will play next round against Nantes trying to make it back to the top of the standings. SPO Rouen will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Paris at home.
