Azuqueca looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Carlos Calvo (178-94) accounted for 14 points and 9 assists for the winning side. Five Azuqueca players scored in double figures. Forward Gerard Sevillano (196-94, agency: Interperformances) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and guard Jorge Romero (192-90) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for Marin in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Azuqueca maintains ninth place in Silver with 12-15 record. Marin at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fourth position with 13 games lost. Azuqueca will meet at home higher ranked Zornotza (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
