Regular Season Round 29: WKK Wroclaw - Slask Wroclaw 80-93

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Wroclaw: Slask (#1) and WKK Wroclaw (#4). WKK Wroclaw was defeated at home 80-93 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Slask dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to WKK Wroclaw's 26. They outrebounded WKK Wroclaw 39-28 including 24 on the defensive glass. Slask looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Point guard Norbert Kulon (187-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Power forward Aleksander Dziewa (205-97, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jakub Patoka (200-94) answered with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Michal Jedrzejewski (184-98) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists in the effort for WKK Wroclaw. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Slask maintains first place with 21-7 record. Newly promoted WKK Wroclaw dropped to the fifth position with 13 games lost. Slask are looking forward to face league's second-placed Sokol Lancut at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. WKK Wroclaw will play against GKS Tychy and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
