Regular Season Round 48: Kyoto Hannar. - Hitachi SR 93-97

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Kyoto Hannar. (27-21) against fourth ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (22-26) on Saturday night. Host Kyoto Hannar. was defeated by Hitachi Sunrockers in a tough game in Kyoto 93-97. It was a great shooting night for Hitachi Sunrockers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Hitachi Sunrockers' coach Geoffrey Katsuhisa used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) with a triple-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists and American center David Simon (208-82, college: PFW) scored 36 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Hitachi Sunrockers maintains fourth position with 22-26 record. Loser Kyoto Hannar. keeps the second place with 21 games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kyoto Hannar. will play again against Hitachi Sunrockers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
