Regular Season Round 4: Joondalup W. - Warwick S. 101-77
Date: March 23, 2019
There was no surprise in Joondalup where 5th ranked Senators (1-1) were crushed by top-ranked Wanneroo (3-0) 101-77 on Saturday. Wanneroo looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-91, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) fired 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Filipino swingman Seb Salinas (188-85) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Wanneroo players scored in double figures. American guard Justin King (196-89, college: TRU) produced 23 points and 9 rebounds and forward Caleb Davis (206-95, college: Saginaw Valley) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wanneroo maintains first position in League with 3-0 record. Loser Senators dropped to the seventh place with one game lost. Wanneroo will face league's second-placed Eagles in Morley in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Senators will play on the road against Giants (#5) in Kalgoorlie and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
