Regular Season Round 14: BC Titebi - Mgzavrebi 86-91

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked BC Titebi (5-9) lost to third ranked Mgzavrebi (9-5) in Tbilisi 86-91 on Saturday. BC Titebi trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 23-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 86-91 at the end of the game. American point guard Adrian Bowie (189-89, college: Maryland) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international swingman Kakhaber Jintcharadze (195-93) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International power forward Ilia Londaridze (205-89) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Kaheem Ransom (185-93, college: Sam Houston St.) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists in the effort for BC Titebi. Five Mgzavrebi and four BC Titebi players scored in double figures. Mgzavrebi moved-up to second place, which they share with Dinamo Tbilisi. Newly promoted BC Titebi keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. Mgzavrebi will face bottom-ranked Rustavi (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BC Titebi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Delta.
