The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Real Celta Vigo (21-2) in Azkoitia on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked Rioja (16-7) 58-57. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Real Celta Vigo. They outrebounded Real Celta Vigo 47-35 including 17 on the offensive glass. Canadian swingman Jessica Fequiere (180-93, college: Albany) saved the victory by scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. Rioja are looking forward to face Arxil Pontevedra (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
