A very interesting game took place in Manresa. It ended with only three-point home defeat of higher ranked La ICL Manresa (13-11) to twelfth ranked Burgos (11-13) 86-83 on Saturday evening. It looked good early as La ICL Manresa took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Burgos had a 28-19 second period charge getting the lead and La ICL Manresa was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 83-86. Burgos forced 19 La ICL Manresa turnovers. It was a good game for Serbian center Goran Huskic (210-92, college: Howard Col., TX) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. American swingman Dominique Sutton (198-86, college: N.C.Central) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Danish guard Gabriel Lundberg (193-94) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-92, college: Massachusetts) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for La ICL Manresa. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Burgos moved-up to eleventh place. Newly promoted La ICL Manresa keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Burgos' next round opponent will be Blusens Monbus (#12) in Santiago de Comp.
