Second Stage Round 7: RCOP Tsmoki - GOCOR-Sozh 87-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked GOCOR-Sozh's (4-21) road loss to eighth ranked RCOP Tsmoki (6-20) in Minsk 65-87 on Saturday. The game without a history. RCOP Tsmoki led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. RCOP Tsmoki outrebounded GOCOR-Sozh 51-34 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for forward Arseni Tugarinov (195-2) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 20 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Raman Gest (197-1) contributed with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. RCOP Tsmoki's coach Aleksandr Poderachev felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Timofey Verevkin (185-93) answered with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Yegor Dudov (190-98) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for GOCOR-Sozh. Four GOCOR-Sozh players scored in double figures. RCOP Tsmoki maintains eighth place with 6-20 record. GOCOR-Sozh at the other side keeps the ninth position with 21 games lost. RCOP Tsmoki's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Minsk to the arena Impuls BGUIR.
