A very interesting game took place in Quimper. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 15th ranked Denain Voltaire (7-16) to fourteenth ranked Quimper UJAP (9-14) 90-88 on Saturday evening. Quimper UJAP players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Swingman Lucas Dussoulier (203-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 4 assists. Angolan center Valdelicio Joaquim (208-90, college: Hawaii, agency: Duran International) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Quimper UJAP's coach Laurent Foirest used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Nigerian forward Chima Moneke (198-95, college: Cal-Davis) answered with 24 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and point guard Pierric Poupet (192-84) added 18 points in the effort for Denain Voltaire. Four Denain Voltaire players scored in double figures. Quimper UJAP have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Evreux. Denain Voltaire lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Quimper UJAP's next round opponent will be ALM Evreux (#13) on the road.
