The game in Brest supposed to be also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Impuls BGUIR (16-9) played at the court of 7th ranked Brest (9-17). Impuls BGUIR smashed Brest 116-67 on Saturday. The game without a history. Impuls BGUIR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Brest's 40. Impuls BGUIR forced 23 Brest turnovers and had a 41-27 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Brest's players. It was a very good performance for forward Yury Ignatiev (202-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Valentin Nazarov (185-97) contributed with 15 points and 8 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Impuls BGUIR players scored in double figures. Forward Konstantin Solyshko (196-96) answered with 18 points and power forward Kirill Vinokurov (207-99) added 9 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Brest. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Impuls BGUIR have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 16-9 record, which they share with Rubon. Brest lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 17 games lost. Impuls BGUIR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Minsk RCOP Tsmoki.
