Regular Season Round 27: Gijon - Moron 74-77

Date: March 23, 2019
Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Moron (13-15) edged on the road 10th ranked Gijon (10-17) 77-74 on Saturday. It was a good game for forward Jon Aramburu (204-92, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Canadian-Jamaican guard Kedar Wright (191-94, college: Simon Fraser, agency: Two Points) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Aramburu is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Moron players scored in double figures. Canadian forward Shane Osayande (198-93, college: Saskatchewan, agency: Interperformances) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Martyce Kimbrough (185-96, college: Findlay, OH, agency: Duran International) added 21 points in the effort for Gijon. Gijon's coach Nacho Galan let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Moron maintains eighth place in Silver with 13-15 record. Newly promoted Gijon keeps the tenth position with 17 games lost. Moron will face Tormes (#12) in Salamanca in the next round. Gijon will play on the road against Menorca in Mahon and hope to win that game.
