Regular Season Round 51: Bambitious Nara - Shimane SM 52-81

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Bambitious Nara (15-35) was crushed at home by first ranked Shimane Magic (38-13) 81-52 on Sunday. Shimane Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Bambitious Nara's 26. They outrebounded Bambitious Nara 38-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Shimane Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Bambitious Nara's players. The best player for the winners was Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: Florida Atlantic) who recorded 16 points and point guard Makoto Higuchi (177-92) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Shimane Magic. They maintain first place with 38-13 record. Bambitious Nara lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 35 games lost. Shimane Magic will face Orange Vikings (#5) in Matsuyama in the next round.
