Olympiacos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Panionios to just 4 points in third quarter. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Olympiacos maintains second position with 18-2 record behind leader Panathinaikos. Loser Panionios keeps the eleventh place with 15 games lost. Olympiacos will face bottom-ranked Cretan Kings (#14) in Rethymno in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Panionios will play on the road against Kolossos HH in Rodou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
