Another exciting game for Albacete (13-14) which played on the court of Plasencia (12-15). Seventh ranked Albacete saved the game by a tiny margin of one point 73-72. Plasencia was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American-Dominican Eddy Polanco (190-94, college: SE Louisiana) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) helped adding 8 points and 7 rebounds. Four Albacete players scored in double figures. Plasencia's coach Rafael Sanz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Albacete moved-up to sixth place in Silver. Plasencia at the other side keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost. Albacete will play against Baskonia (#11) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Plasencia will play against L'Hospitalet and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
