The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Chorale de Roanne as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Chorale de Roanne defeated 3rd placed Sluc Nancy at home 80-74. It was an exceptional evening for American-Italian point guard Matt Carlino (190-92, college: Marquette) who led the winners and scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Clement Cavallo (200-90) accounted for 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Chorale de Roanne players scored in double figures. Chorale de Roanne's coach Laurent Pluvy allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Marcellus Sommerville (200-82, college: Bradley) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) and Meredis Houmounou (188-88) added 9 points and 5 assists respectively for Sluc Nancy in the defeat. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Sluc Nancy at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with Vichy Clermont. Sluc Nancy will play next round against Denain Voltaire trying to get back on the winning streak. Chorale de Roanne will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Lille Metropole on the road.
