Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Mataro Feimat (14-8) outscored on the road 7th ranked Salou (12-10) 78-54 on Sunday. Forward Jordi Juanola (196-98) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Jaume Sole (195-91) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Mataro Feimat players scored in double figures. Point guard Gerard Santiago (185-92) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American forward CJ Barksdale (203-92, college: Virginia Tech) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mataro Feimat have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position in Group C-A with 14-8 record. Newly promoted Salou keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Mataro Feimat will face Martorell (#8) at home in the next round. Salou will play against Calvia and hope to win that game.
