Regular Season Round 51: Sendai 89ers - Cyberdyne IR 69-60

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sendai. Second ranked Sendai 89ers faced 3rd placed Cyberdyne IR. Host Sendai 89ers (32-19) defeated guests from Tsukuba (31-20) 69-60. Sendai 89ers dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Cyberdyne IR's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American center Daniel Miller (211-91, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) helped adding 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Yuji Takahashi (183-91) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Sendai 89ers have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 32-19 record having four points less than leader Shinshu BW. Loser Cyberdyne IR keeps the third position with 20 games lost. Sendai 89ers will meet league's leader Gunma on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cyberdyne IR will play against Aomori Watts and hope to secure a win.
