Quarter-Finals Round 3: Naestved - EBAA 101-66
Date: March 28, 2019
The game was mostly controlled by Naestved. EBAA managed to win fourth quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding EBAA to just 5 points in second quarter. Naestved dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to EBAA's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Naestved made 9 blocks. It was a good game for American point guard PJ Thompson (178-96, college: Purdue) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 5 assists. International Philip Hertz (195-92, college: Rio Grande) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American center Keane Thomann (211-89, college: Missouri So.) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and guard Jacob Sinding (191-96) added 10 points in the effort for EBAA. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
