Flames rallied past Blackbirds to force the decider. The game was mostly controlled by Flames. Blackbirds managed to win fourth quarter 35-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Flames shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Naturalized Argentinian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 37 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Bosnian-Slovenian center Fuad Memcic (209-82) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Flames' coach Franz Zderadicka used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International forward Sebastian Koch (202-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and Croatian center Marko Moric (205-81) added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Blackbirds. Five Blackbirds players scored in double figures.
