Very predictable result when ninth ranked Alcobendas (12-12) defeated at home 14th ranked Olimpico 64 (1-23) 72-60 on Saturday. They outrebounded Olimpico 64 52-35 including 37 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Erika Livermore (185-93, college: Fair Dickinson) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Sierra Moore (180-94, college: Penn St.) who added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Cecilia Aldecoa (174-99) with 18 points and Beatriz Parada (178-86) scored 12 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Alcobendas moved-up to eighth place in Group B, which they share with Gran Canaria. Olimpico 64 lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 23 games lost. Alcobendas will face Granada (#11) on the road in the next round. Olimpico 64 will play against Genero and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
