There was no surprise when 11th ranked Pozuelo (9-16) was crushed on the road by seventh ranked Rivas (14-12) 85-60 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was swingman Javier De-Pinto (197-92) who scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Miguel Zamora (189-93) chipped in 14 points. Four Rivas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Jorge Gonzalez (182-88) who recorded 11 points and 4 assists and guard Alberto Arias (188-89) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rivas have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain seventh place in Group B with 14-12 record. Pozuelo lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Rivas will face Estudio (#11) in Madrid in the next round. Pozuelo will play at home against Casvi and hope to win that game.
