We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 3rd placed Tenerife Naut. (18-7) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Alcobendas (19-7) 70-63 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Jorge Parra (192-98) who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Roberto Morentin (204-81, college: Cent Florida) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Alcobendas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin forward Danilo Brnovic (200-0) who recorded 17 points and 6 rebounds and Danish center Sami Eleraky (213-93, college: Pacific) added 6 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Tenerife Naut.'s coach Santi Lucena rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Alcobendas moved-up to third place in Group B. Newly promoted Tenerife Naut. dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Alcobendas will face Lanzarote (#9) in Arrecife in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tenerife Naut. will play at home against Quintanar (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
