Regular Season Round 27: Quintanar - Aridane 96-75

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Quintanar (14-11) outleveled at home 13th ranked Aridane (8-18) 96-75 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American guard KJ Bluford (185-93, college: E.Kentucky) who scored 29 points and 5 rebounds. Sudanese point guard Samy Mohamed (183-93, college: UPEI) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Quintanar players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Mali-American power forward Nouhoum Bocoum (207-92, college: Arkansas St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Corey Raley-Ross (191-91, college: Buffalo) added 22 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Quintanar maintains sixth place in Group B with 14-11 record. Aridane lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Quintanar will face higher ranked Tenerife Naut. (#4) in Santa Cruz de Ten. in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aridane will play at home against Estudiantes B (#5) and hope to win that game.
