Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Kymis (5-16) lost on the road to eighth ranked Holargos (10-11) 73-66 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-16. But Kymis won second period 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Toarlyn Fitzpatrick (203-89, college: S.Florida) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side and the former international Vladimir Jankovic (202-90) accounted for 17 points and 4 assists. Holargos' coach Aris Likogiannis used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American swingman Scott Suggs (197-89, college: Washington) came up with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Chris Horton (203-94, college: Austin Peay) added 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Kymis in the defeat. Newly promoted Holargos maintains eighth place with 10-11 record. Kymis at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Holargos will meet higher ranked Ifestos (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kymis will play against Cretan Kings (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
