Quarter-Finals Round 2: Politekhnik - Khimik 66-90

Khimik outgunned Politekhnik on the road to sweep the series. The game without a history. Khimik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 70.6 percentage. Khimik looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Oleksandr Antypov (203-95) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and U.S. Virgin Islands guard Deon Edwin (190-92, college: Kent St., agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points and 7 assists during the contest. Khimik's coach Vitali Stepanovski felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Delwan Graham (203-88, college: Jacksonville) responded with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard TJ Cromer (190-95, college: ETSU) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
