Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked San Martino (8-17) lost to tenth ranked Carugate (10-15) in San Martino di L 56-66 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for Croatian center Lorena Molnar (194-98, agency: AgainHello) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Francesca Gambarini (168-95, agency: SPORTlab Agency) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Center Beatrice Baldi (185-0) answered with 7 points, 17 rebounds and 7 assists and swingman Anna Profaiser (177-0) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for San Martino. Carugate moved-up to ninth place in A2. Loser San Martino keeps the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Carugate will face Ponzano (#14) in Veneto in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. San Martino will play on the road against Udine and hope to win that game.
