There was an upset in Las Palmas where higher ranked Picken Claret (13-11) was crushed by thirteenth ranked Genero (6-18) 89-66 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Danielle Lawrence (175-96, college: IUPUI) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and center Yaiza Garcia (190-88) who added 22 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Genero's coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was Senegalese power forward Kamara-Ndeye Thiama (193-97, agency: BeoBasket) with 19 points and Belgian Jana Raman (185-91) scored 15 points.
