Regular Season Round 27: Univ.Valladolid - Goierri 88-75

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Univ.Valladolid (6-17) won against at home 10th ranked Goierri (6-17) 88-75 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was power forward Adrian Pascual (200-88) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Eduardo Herreros chipped in 14 points and 4 assists. Five Univ.Valladolid players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Aitor De-Miguel (186-83) who recorded 21 points and 5 rebounds and guard Telmo Igartua (184-97) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Univ.Valladolid moved-up to eleventh place in Group A-A, which they share with defeated Goierri. Univ.Valladolid will face league's leader Ardoi in Zizur Mayor in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Goierri will play at home against Ordizia-Basoa (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
