The game in Brest was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Rubon (18-9) played at the court of 7th ranked Brest (9-19). Rubon did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 110-93 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Rubon. Brest managed to win third quarter 27-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Brest's 46. Rubon forced 25 Brest turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The former international guard Maksim Shustov (188-86) stepped up and scored 23 points and 7 assists for the winners and the former international center Uladzimir Krysevich (209-91) chipped in 12 points and 14 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Anton Shchurko (188-97) with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Konstantin Solyshko (196-96) scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Five Rubon and four Brest players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rubon have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Impuls BGUIR. Brest lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 19 games lost. Rubon will meet at home Impuls BGUIR (#5) in the next round. Brest will have a break next round.
